We would like to recommend the driver you are with, "Mr A". We met Mr A by chance when we chose him to drive us from the train station to our hotel. Without any preasure he showed us the book of references he has.

We hire Mir A and his vehicle at a very reasonable price to drive us around the city and nearby area for a day. We visited the temple on the hill, elephant camps, nearby villages and nice fields, had lunch at a good and very cheap restaurant which Mr A recommended. Then in the afternoon (at our request) we visited a jewelry factory/showroom, silk factory and a number of antique stores.

Mr A's knowledge of spoken English was fine, he drifes safely and has a good knowledge of the local area. In our view he is an honest and reliable family man who will do his best to look after your needs and give you a good day.

Do yourself a favour. Hire him!

My wife and I used Mr A on several occasions when in Chiang Mai in March 2014 and we recommend him to all other visitors. He not only spoke good English, but was a good, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide to his region. His van was new, clean and comfortable and he drove very safely. His rates were very reasonable and we were not pressured to visit any shops or markets. We wish him ever success with his business and hope to travel with him on a future trip to Chiang Mai.
